A Java way to live!

Surprised? You might be thinking, what the hell Java has to do with our life/living? Don’t be surprised; Java gives many life changing lessons, only you have to look at it in that way.

You might be aware of the features of Java, if not don’t worry; I will take you to the world of Java. Java is the leading computer technology for the years. And it is renowned for its unbeatable features.

ThinkJava

Following are some of the magical features of Java, by which it became successful and eventually popular. I have tried to relate these features with our life/living.

So, are you ready for the ride? Okay let’s move ahead.

1. Platform Independence:

Java is platform independent. It doesn’t matter to Java, on which platform you have written the code and on which platform you are going to run it. Same way be platform independent in your life, given a chance to perform, perform it as if it’s your own and known platform. For this develop such a skill using which you will become a consistent performer and the platform will not matter for you. This will take you to the peak of success.

2. Object Oriented:

This is the major feature of Java. Everything is there in class itself, even main() function too and nothing internal is directly exposed to outside world. Be like Java with this feature. Have your all internal declarations and definitions hidden inside you. Be like a complete package, for outside world only expose your public behaviors to deal with. Also remember and follow the majority of the Object Oriented features:

Inheritance:

Learn from your forefathers and ancestors. Reuse all their good qualities.

Polymorphism:

Have a dynamic behavior. Have more than one form while dealing with outside world.

Overriding/Overloading:

While learning from your forefathers and ancestors, don’t follow everything blindly, have your own versions for the behaviors where they were wrong, this is what called Overriding. Change your behavior dynamically depending upon the type of person you are dealing with, this is what called Overloading. This will make you a dynamic person who can deal with any kind of people.

3. Robust:

Java has a strong exception handling mechanism. You should also develop your own mechanism to deal with the exceptions of life, once occurred you should be in state to recover yourself. For this have your childhood favorite habits with you like drawing, singing, dancing, etc. These habits will always heal and recover you from the exceptions of life.

4. Automatic Memory Management:

Java has a very good automatic garbage collection mechanism. It frees up the memory from the unused and unreferenced allocations. In day to day life you collect lot many memories, “he done this with me”, “he did not helped me”, “this happened to me”, “he is doing that”, “he has done this”, blah, blah, blah. Do daily meditation to clean such clumsy garbage from your mind. This will keep you fresh and ready for new experiences of life.

5. Security:

Java doesn’t have memory pointers. Java has access modifiers for everything. It only exposes limited and necessary members to outside world. Java program runs inside the virtual machine sandbox. And many more things are there which make Java the most secure. Be like Java; don’t let the outside world know your important secrets. Have your plans hidden inside you; share those only with reliable people.

6. Good Performance:

Just-in-time compilation has improved the performance of Java. Be like Java; do the things on the right time and within the timeframe of deadline. And don’t let your performance down at any cost. This will ultimately make you good performer.

7. Threading:

Thread is a process which is forked from the main process. With threads there comes a concept of multithreading, which means dealing with more than one thread at a time. Java supports the feature of multithreading. If you learn to tackle the multiple threads of life at a time and gain the ability to deal with multiple threads without affecting much the individual thread’s performance then you will become the outstanding performer and the world will see the magical juggling happening around you.

That’s it for now! There are many more features of Java which you can relate with our life. I just picked some of those and given a perspective to look towards life, have your own findings and live life in Java way to become an unchallenged and unbeaten hero!!!
